So I've data dumped from my QX1….5 banks of DX/TX module data.

I have a DX7 file…and 4 TX module data dumps. The first thing I need is to figure why after data dump, there are only 27 patches in one and 29 on another. The DX has 31….That doesn't make sense. Secondly I want to patch change the FM8's to correspond to my patches…but no matter what I do…I can't……Any suggestions?
