Kontrol 49 Midi Studio Controller Not Working Ableton Live 11

I am running Ableton Live 11 and recently upgraded my Mac to Ventura OS 13.6.5. Since the upgrade, I can "see" my Kontrol 49 in Live Preferences as a "control surface" but cannot see the controller on the list of "inputs". The controller lights up etc. and appears to function OK, but no signals are being received by Live. It was working flawlessly prior to the upgrade. I have tried all of the trouble shooting tips and nothing has worked. I have an M-Audio Keystation Mini 32 controller that works just fine. I have tried uninstalling all NI software and leaving just the Apple MIDI drivers to deal with things but still to no avail. Could it be that my much-loved (and somewhat elderly) Kontrol 49 is not supported by the Ventura OS? The Kontrol 49 works perfectly when connected to my son's PC running Windows 10. Many thanks for any help.

Yes, as @maniacintosh81 said, these pictures are from a KORG keyboard, it's not a NI Komplete Kontrol keyboard.

Is it a MK1 keyboard, MK2, MK3? What version of the Komplete Kontrol software are you using?

If you open Komplete Kontrol in standalone, can you select the S49 as MIDI input (in preferences→ MIDI)?

    You can try this:

    Disconnect the keyboard.

Go to Applications → Utilities → Audio & MIDI setup

On the top right of your screen, choose Show MIDI Studio

    Delete the S49 entry:

Connect the keyboard again. Open Komplete Kontrol, can you select the input? After loading an instrument, If you play the keys do you get sound?

Hi Jeremy. Thank you for your response. My Kontrol 49 is quite old - serial number is 006223, so I suspect it is a MK 1. I have Komplete Kontrol 2.9.6 installed. On opening Komplete Kontrol, I could not see my Kontrol 49 keyboard. I disconnected it - went to Audio & Midi setup and could not see the Kontrol 49 there. The power was on and all displays/lights were working. I reconnected the Kontrol 49 keyboard with USB connection. I still cannot see it in Komplete Kontrol. I attach screenshots FYI. I'm not sure if I am supposed to be able to see Komplete Kontrol in the Native Access app? When I open Komplete Kontrol it scans all plugins every time which takes a while. When I am asked to activate Komplete Kontrol, the Native Access app opens and then Komplete Kontrol crashes and I can't see Komplete Kontrol in Native Access. Does any of that matter? Regards, Ian.

Ok, there are a few things.

    1. If I check your account, I can't see any serial at all, for the keyboard, or for any software bundled with it, maybe you have an other NI account, associated with another email address. This is why you don't see Komplete Kontrol in Native Access.
    2. I can't check which generation the keyboard is, so do you have 2 big screens under the knobs?
    3. Have you tried to open Controller Editor? If it's a MK1, you need Controller Editor to operate the keyboard. I see it's installed, but what happens when you open it, can you see the keyboard and "connect" it?

Please make sure that the Komplete Kontrol has full disk access: How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS

Hi there. I',m not sure that I ever set up a NI account before. I may only ever have plugged the keyboard in and got on with things. When I tried to register the keyboard this time round (after updating the OS on my Mac), Native Access wouldn't let me proceed because of the short serial number - it wouldn't accept it. Please see attached photos of my keyboard. Komplete Kontrol & Controller Editor both have full disk access. I can open Controller Editor, but I cannot see my keyboard there and so I can't connect. I have seen the article thank you - and I have run through the steps but to no avail.

Okay the pictures totally explain why it is not working. Your device isn‘t a Native Instruments product. Therefore it is no wonder that Komplete Kontrol does not recognize.

After searching Google it seems to be a Korg device.
