Maschine+ saved project not loading VST for 1 group

So, I'm a new maschine owner.. and the Maschine+ is awesome. I"ve been more productive with music since getting this thing than ever before.

I just ran into an issue I'm not sure how to fix. In standalone mode I've created a 4 bar beat, added some synth keys that I used the auto sampler for lower CPU usage.

I've got a pretty sick 4 bar loop going. I added the Kontakt Funk Bass VST in group C pad 1 and things are sounding pretty sick.

After saving the project however, that group in particular doesn't load. It still has my looped pattern and it's still trying to play the notes. It still says "Funk Bass' on the pad's icon on the screen. But no notes are being played, it's not muted, I've tried to unmute it.

I have to completely reload the instrument to get it to start playing sound again, and then it follows the pattern I wrote.

Is there a setting I'm missing that's causing me to have to reload the VST every time or something I'm doing that's making this necessary?

    It seems to just be this particular Kontakt plugin, or perhaps kontakt in general. I loaded a synth in that group and it saved and loaded no problem.

    I tried creating a completely new project and saving "Funk Bass" on a pad but it's silent again when I load it. Maybe I'll just sample Kontakt plugins in the future as a work around.

    It's not just "Funk Bass" It seems to be any instrument loaded from Kontakt. Loading instruments from other Native VST works fine.

    So it’s about Kontakt 6 in general. That sounds more like a licensing issue to me. Otherwise it would impact every M+ user.

    I suggest opening a support ticket.

    The problem you describe has occurred for many users but quite a while back. Several M+ and Kontakt updates have been released since then. It would be interesting to know what version of OS/Maschine/Firmware and Kontakt is running on your M+.

    Does that problem occur right away without any steps in between and is it repeatable? If it is, then it can be filed as bug report.

    It's in standalone mode. 0.1.9 firmware, and I don't have my Maschine+ on hand but the first thing I did was update the software, so whatever the latest version is.

    This is in standalone mode. And it's repeatable by loading any project I've saved with Kontakt in standalone mode.

    Further details for my reply above - I've had it for less than a week and this is all fresh installs and brand new projects, and in the end not a big issue for me personally, as I'm making use of the auto-sampler in standalone for just about anything as it saves on cpu usage. My samples load without issue.

    Please check and report all the version numbers, including Kontakt. This issue is regarded as resolved, and shouldn’t appear.

    One more question: Do you own a license for the full version of Kontakt, and if so for which version. IIRC there have been issues with the full license interfering with the M+ license for Kontakt.

    @Jeremy_NI any other ideas or recommendations?

    I'm a first time Maschine owner, the only Native instruments VST I own is what came with the Maschine+.

    Software 1.5.1.0

    Maschine Version 2.17.5 (R0)

    Firmware 0.1.9.

    As stated.. latest software and firmware. I'm not sure how you check VST software versions within M+, but, being that I installed it within a week's timeframe, you can assume it's the latest version.

    Kontakt Factory selection 1.4.2


    I've this thing since Friday, so the possibility of me downloading an older version is 0%. I'm not sure if anything came pre-installed, what exactly I installed on Friday. but, most certainly the first thing I did was update the software and firmware and install some VST to play around with.

    Unfortunately I am not able to replicate this issue, but I am not using the same software versions. For me Funk Bass loaded fine with the Project.

    It would be great if someone with the same software could verify this isson their M+.

    Just to be clear we're not talking about Maschine 2 for windows or Mac OS. Specifically regarding the standalone mode specific to the M+.

    In case anybody runs into this.. I'm not sure what caused it but Native CS was able to solve it by refreshing/renewing/updating my Kontakt license or something to that extent.

    Been working since. I wasn't all that concerned to begin with as my most played instruments were made with the auto-sampler. NI CS was pretty prompt to respond to my ticket as well. Just took me awhile to decide to make one.
