Komplete Audio 6 (KA6 Mk I) Audio quits until power cycled

My KA6 MK I's audio randomly quits working.

When I unplug the USB cable and plug it in again, the problem is temporarily solved.

Sometimes I notice it is not working just after starting my computer, other times it quits after sitting for awhile. It used to happen very infrequently, now its every day.

This mildly annoying quirk, is now getting to be a nuisance. I suspect maybe its a USB driver crash or something.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Has anyone found a solution?

(WIN 10 PC with latest everything. KA6 is plugged directly into motherboard, no hubs.)

Thanks

Hey @DJ5D I know this article is not about the first generation of Komplete Audio 6 but I'm wondering if the Power settings part and the Disable Fast Start part could help in your case:

    KOMPLETE AUDIO 1 / 2 / 6 MK2 Audio Issues (Windows)

Have you tried another USB cable or another USB port ? Can you reproduce the issue on another computer ?

Well 2 years later its still happening. Tried the usb power settings, selective suspend disabled, fast start as well. have since installed a fresh OS.

The port for the interface is direct into the computer as USB hubs tend to create latency, it appears to supply power even when the machine is shut off.

    An more ideas?

I've been having issues (DPC Watch Dog Violation, and high Latency issues) on a powerful new PC with fresh install of W11 also…
I've tried everything - I believe it is because NI has not BOTHERED to update their drivers since 2018 (!).
I am about to buy an RME Babyface FS because it has amazing round-trip-latency and is rock-solid according to friends, and also forums - and…. they have updated drivers for all their products (even products that were made over 10 years ago !).
I will NEVER buy another NI soundcard ever again - it's clear their business model is about obsolescence (they want you to keep buying new gear instead)
