TP3 with Audio 10 not connecting on Mac or Windows 11

edited October 2024 in Traktor Software & Hardware

I've been a long time Traktor user but haven't updated in awhile. So i decided to finally pull the plug and do it after seeing the compatibility would work with Sonoma and my Audio10.

So update done, downloads done, i'm singing the praise of the NI Access app. Then nothing connects. It's the flashing USB on the A10 that won't go away even after installing on the mac and suitable PC with windows. Actually it did stop on the Windows but it won't recognize the A10. It has since gone back to flashing again. I've tried 3 different USB chords, with and without hubs.

So I currently have a piece of useless software with no way that I can see to contact NI.

Usually I use the audio interface in my Xone:96. "On the road" it depends on location and event: If there is an mixer with USB audio on location I rely on this. Just in case I have an Denon DS1 it is just 4 channels/2 decks but at least full DVS support thanks to "Scratch for all". Got it on a bargain on black friday a few years ago (99€) and gave me the opportunity to check the "dark side" (Serato).

Smaller events were is nothing but PA on location I would do with my S4 Mk3 now.

the mix and match option. Thanks fo that, looks like i'm going to have to troubleshoot this further. As it's strange that the soundcard option is not showing on the mac where as it is on windows, as it should be even if I can't connect to it. I have a Motu that I could also try and use but will need some aditional chords as it's oldschool firewire.

Does it only not connect to TP3 or is your TA10 not recognized by macOS or Windows at all? On the Mac: Does it got listed as USB device in System Profiler?

It's the TA10 not being recognized on both.

On the MacOS I cannot see the device in TP3

On windows I can see the device but it asks "please connect and select audio device"

Especially on macOS: Is the TA10 listed in System Profiler? Or can you choose it in System Settings as Audio input or output?

I consider a hardware failure, would be a strange coincidence with your update but still possible.

No I can't choose it, the only option I have is Macbook Pro Speakers under Audio Setup. Input/Output there is nothing to choose.

I get this pop up when running the TA10 driver

I talk about System Profiler of macOS and System Settings of macOS. Not Traktor or Traktor Audio 10 Control Panel.

Sounds like the fate of my good old NI Audio 8 DJ. From one day to the other didn't work anymore just lit up after connecting USB. Was broken. As I don't make audio with Windows machines I cannot really help troubleshoot there.

Have you already tried different USB cables?

yeah i've tried 3 different ones, maybe I could try getting one that is direct USB-A to USB-C.
