Stuck at "Maschine+ is starting"
I was recently efacing this issue of my maschine+ not going beyond the "Maschine+ is starting screen". I sent it to the distributor near my home at India. I had also raised a complaint ticket to NI. after trying all the solutions, it seems like my CPU is fried. I did nothing wrong to the device interms of overloading. No spike of power etc. that could've fried the CPU since i use the same power source for all my other gear that are doing fine. My maschine+ is 3 years old but has been kept only in a studio setting and infact has been a bit dormant for the last year due to my personal schedule being busy. Recently when i wanted to restart, in seconds after boot, my maschine+ froze and after that it hasnt turned on fully. Its always stuck at boot and wont go anyfurther. Ive tried all the solutions provided by support. It simply doesnt work. My maschine+ is officially BRICKED. The people are NI have said that I need to pay 500$ more for a replacement. Which is a bit crazy. The hardware unit is perfectly fine, the Midi mode still works, only the standalone mode is not working. This is purely a result of poorly built hardware that doesnt sync well with its software and it finally got fried. I find it very much in poor taste that NI are being like Asus in this respect. My unit also has the latest firmware too. I am writing this post so anyone with the maschine+ or has a maschine+ is aware of what they are getting into. These units are quite expensive and someone like me simply cant afford another. But maschine is too casual in their response and just seems like they want more money. My Maschine Mikro MkII that is nearly a decade old is still fine but this maschine+ seems to be flawed right from the beginning. Please beware before buying this unit. It's slow, barely any updates interms of software instruments and effects and terribly built hardware. I really used to be a fan of NI and how good their build quality was but it has gone these days and a unit that should ideally last a decade or more, has bricked in 3 years because of poor CPU and poor build quality. I sincere request people to be weary of these things before buying a maschine. I will no longer be buying anything NI due to this experience. I have lost a big part of my music composing setup and its not a cost I am willing to hear again. I will explore Akai or the likes for my further requirements. Ive been an ardent Maschine and NI fan for 10+ years but I think that loyalty means nothing to NI. They simply want you to pay for replacement for something they have poorly built.
