Possible for someone to buy an upgrade for me?

Hi, I have a komplete 12 collector's edition. I need to upgrade to 14 CE. I have a publisher who pays for my equipment. Can he buy the upgrade himself then give me the license number so that I can register it and do the upgrade? Thank a lot. Best regards

Thanks PoorFellow for your response. I asked Thomann as they sell Native Komplete too and they answered me that : "The software is not tied to any account on our end, so it can be redeemed by anyone."

@Jeremy_NI, do you confirm it is possible to do it this way ?

Maybe that may happen, if one buys at NI e-shop and is logged to NI account. For customer's convenience….

At least in Native Instruments own shop you cannot buy without logging into your Native ID. At least till the point where I have to enter my payment details there is no option of choosing to buy for another person.

As it seems you have to use third party retailers in this case. Or you have to get gift cards from your publisher.
