Maschine + SD card not recognised by PC in controller mode

Hi all,

I've bought a used Maschine +, which I'm really enjoying, but am having trouble getting my own sounds onto it in controller mode.

If I eject the SD card, I can drag + drop presets/samples etc onto it directly and then transfer it back into the Maschine + no problem. However, if I connect the Maschine + to my PC in controller mode, it fails to recognise the SD card (both when the Maschine 2 software is running and not). I therefore always have to eject the SD card to transfer anything.

Other than for ease of use, the main reason I'd like to be able to do this is so I can add tags to my samples, to make sorting sounds more efficient.

Does anyone know what the issue might be? I'm new to all this and have tried searching for answers to no avail.

Thanks very much in advance!

Issue sorted now - I was being incredibly stupid. You have to put the unit in storage mode when connected to a PC πŸ™ˆ.

I hope this might help a fellow noob in future...

The SD card and usb ports are for standalone operation. They don't work in controller mode. It's not an "issue"; it's how the device is designed.

    Thanks for answering.

I'm confused then. I've seen several people on YouTube who have the Maschine 2 software running with their Machine +s in standalone mode and they can access user content saved on their SD cards (which are installed in the hardware).

At the moment, I can control Maschine 2 software via USB, just not access the SD card content.
