GUIs of NI effects not visible

I've just installed the updates of several NI effects like Replika XT, Raum, Dirt und Phasis and just discovered that the GUIs don't show up anymore. Both in Cubase 13 and Studio One 6.

Has any of you experienced this problem?

Did you check the DX levels from dxdiag? I know Kontakt didn't work if 11_1 wasn't supported even on DX 12 cards.

I'm working with Windows 10 Home.

Just checked the VST2 versions of the plug-ins in the free VSTHost, same problem.

That's usually down to a video card not supporting Direct X feature set 11_1. Make sure your video card drivers are fully up to date then run dxdiag.exe to check the feature levels.

Thanks, Uwe! Did you install the latest update?

I guess that the HiDPI support NI just added doesn't work well with some graphic cards.

It looks like you only have 11_0 support rather than 11_1. That's certainly a problem with Kontakt, and I'd guess the updates add the same requirements for the other new effects.

So can this be fixed by a software update or do I need a need graphic card?

You need a new graphics card.

This advice is some months old now but ought still give you an idea . Please notice the closing remark (while it would solve the present problem then still it might not be such a good idea to buy the cheapest card) : The cheapest MSI GeForce GTX 1650 VENTUS XS OC 4GB GDDR6 RAM is a nice card but the Turing (microarchitecture) is about 6 years old by now !

Yep, a new card is the only way to fix that. You'll probably find that most of the newer cards will work, but if in doubt buy from Amazon then you get the 30-day return period. The higher priced cards will be better for gaming, but for audio use lower priced cards are quite adequate. Some VSTs are starting to use the GPU for audio processing, but not that many as yet. Check out second hand shops - a lot of gamers replace their cards too often so you can end up with a bargain.

Thank you guys! Currently Kontakt 7 runs without problems, just a few effects are affected. So I think I'll try to get older versions of these plug-ins first and see if that helps.
