Native Access and Absynth

Yes, I'm still hanging on to the old workhorse. The last one standing. NI no longer supports Pro-53. Wish they had. And I don't fancy Reaktor—all of which were once in my old G5 tower.

So this is the situation. I've installed Absynth into my new Mac Studio. I used Native Access and from time to time I check to see if there is anything I need to do in order to maintain Absynth within my set-up.

Today when I click on the Native Access app I started to get a message that said "installing dependencies." I never got that message before. Why am I getting it now. I x'ed out of it. One song file uses Absynth quite heavily. I'd feel horrible if some update gets sent down the line that renders that synth obsolete. Don't want that to happen. Ever.

What would happen if I let "installing dependencies" just run? Right now, I "x" out of it to keep anything bad from happening. There is no cancel option. I close the browser window that shows activity. Please advise.

Thanks.

Will probably end up with nothing if you cancel out of setting up dependencies.

That is a standard part of NA setup. Without it - consider your installer compromised.

While ABSynth is already obsolete - if the app is part of your overall NI acct you can install per normal.
