Can Mk2 Keys now work with Kontakt?

Hi
I am returning to my Komplete Kontrol S61 Mk2 after a long hiatus. I see that there is now a MK3 keyboard that has some long desired updates.
Are any of these new functions available to Mk2 via new software or a firmware update. eg. I always wished we could use the full functionality of the keyboard in Kontakt not just in Kontrol.
Also wondering if the the issue with sustain pedals never working in Mk2 has been resolved. ( I lost many hours a few years ago trying to get Komplete Kontrol (software to respond to sustain pedal in the KK hardware- this issue did not exist in Kontakt but Kontakt did not have the browser function or the automating feature…..)
Good to be back.

The MK2 works as it always did, i.e. you have to load Kontakt inside Komplete Kontrol to use the integration. Not sure about the sustain pedal issue on the MK2 as I don't have one here to test.

As Mykejb indirectly says then the S-Series MK2 keyboards still works as the did when they received their v. 1.4 firmware update in 2019.
The new stuff , including the direct connection to Kontakt 7 from keyboard , in S-Series MK3 is exclusive to the S-Series MK3 meaning that if you want what S-Series MK3 brings then you got to buy one of them.
The S-Series MK3 keyboards have had the hardware seriously upgraded compared to the S-Series MK2 and there is no way that any firmware update to the S-Series MK2 could alter that.
(Question : "Will Direct Kontakt integration (without the Komplete Kontrol wrapper) also be enabled for S-Series MkII?")
Quote Matthew_NI , September 2023 : No, unfortunately not.
The Kontrol S MK3 has a new on-device rendering engine, capable of rendering metadata and graphics, well, on the device.
This enables us to do things like the Direct Connection API, for which Kontakt 7 and Komplete Kontrol 3 are our first clients. The keyboard talks directly to the plug-in, but otherwise handles the parameter mapping and graphical representations.
The Kontrol S MK2 does not have this capability. The logic is hard coded into Komplete Kontrol, which does all of the rendering and processing, before sending the information down the pipe to the keyboard's display. It's "dumb" in a manner of speaking. So it is not as simple as enabling it.

there is a way to do this with the mk2 keyboards. You need to have the machine mk3. If you have the machine mk3 and I use reason 13 I can get the mk2 s88 to work using Kontact 8. Let me know if you have the machine mk3 and I can add how to do it here
