Workflows for editing MIDI program change parameters directly on Maschine+?

I added this as a feature on the sequence/editing feature discussion, but curious to get feedback here:

"As a maschine+ user I want to be able to send program changes to MIDI outs to external gear when I switch groups and the ability to create/edit MIDI program control messages and embed them into clips on the M+ itself, currently only way to do this is on the software and then get it on to the M+ via storage mode file copy

That way the MaschinePlus can work as a true PC-less central hub for my workflow and live setup."

I have a couple of external modules that I use live and want to send patch changes to them as a tune is playing. Just wondering if anyone has a better workflow for editing program change messages on the M+ itself as the process above is really slow, really clunky and really error prone.

You can use lock states for sending program change messages to your hardware. In order for this to work during project recall though, you also need to create a "blank" program change lock, because Maschine will not actually send the program change info if it does not change any values in the UI.

I recommend creating a simple user "Sound" with macros mapped for MIDI bank and program change already set up. Then load these sounds into the sound slots you are using for sending MIDI data, and create the lock states, each with the appropriate vallues for the macros. Then just add one more lock state which sets all these macros to some "init" value; you will need to activate this lock once after every reloading of the project

Thanks this is incredibly helpful. I'll dig into it and see if it works for me.
