I formatted my Mac with backup. Goodbye Expansions?🤦🏽‍♂️

Hello, I had a question that has me sleepless.

I formatted my Mac, made my backup, and my expansions are installed on an external hard drive

When I install native access it recognizes my expansions but does not allow me to relocate like the rest of the instruments. It only allows me to install.

When I open Maschine, no expansion appears. The only solution I see is to download everything again and reinstall. It seems absurd to me and a big waste of time since I have many expansions.

Is there a way to manually relocate it so that it recognizes my libraries?

GREETINGS!

@ProfetaGarrido Unfortunately there's no locate function for expansions.

If you have access to this backup, then maybe you can try this:

    1. go to Macintosh HD (old computer)> Library > Preferences >
    2. copy the files named "com.native-instruments.expansion name.plist"
    3. transfer them onto new computer and paste them into Macintosh HD (new computer)> Library > Preferences >
    4. restart computer and open NA

If you don't have access to these old files,

    1. download and extract the zip archive
    2. copy-paste the plist files to [Macintosh HD > Library > Preferences]
    3. restart/refresh NA
    4. use "relocate all" to point NA to the folder containing all of the expansions

THANK YOU SO MUCH! IT'S WORK!

The last question: why do some expansions appear without a cover?

Solved: I replaced the folder "Ni Resources" where all images are located 🤘
