X1 MK3 with Reckordbox6 , installation ?

I use Reckordbox 6 as well as Traktor Pro 3 and, I am trying to use my X1 MK3 with Reckordbox but, I set it to Midi mode as recommended but, it doesn't operate myy Reckordbox software.

Spoke to Reckordbox and they said because its a third party controller I would need to contact you.

F1 is build for Traktor, so yes it's compatible with Traktor Pro 3.

You can also set it into midi mode and use it with Rekordbox 6. But just like the X1 you would need to map it.

Did you install a mapping for your X1 Mk3 in rekordbox or built one by yourself?

I am very heavily disabled and find it useful with limited hand movement to just stop and start a track and select s née track I'm a playlist ?

There is no default mapping for the x1 for rekordbox. Rekordbox does not know what to do with those buttons.

Someone has to go through each button on the X1 controller and map it to what rekordbox should do when you press it.

Remember that rekordbox needs to be either paid for or be unlocked by a different controller in order to be used in performance mode.

There are services out there that provide mapping for a small price.

Unless you need something specific from Rekordbox, I would keep using it with Traktor. It's a bit of effort to get it all running.

Screens are not midi mappable, this controller is best used with Traktor.
Maybe add the DDJ-200 for RB.

Rekordbox do has some benefits. If you need them or not us up to you. But they are hard to deny

• Decent tagging, searching/filtering and browsing
• USB export for CDJs
• No flickering collectionbrowser :)))) (And under active development)

But I would also not try to map rekordbox :S

Last time I checked the X1 Mk3 midi mode offers only CC messages and many button type of commands in RB and Serato are accepting note messages in order to function properly. Not recommended.
