I'm intrigued by the SFZ sample instrument format, which—as just a simple text file—can be generated programmatically without needing to manual drag and drop samples onto the Reaktor GUI. I also like how grooveboxes incorporate sequencing, sample playback, and effects into a single convenient interface. I was thinking of using a Reaktor groovebox to generate MIDI and then to route the audio back into each original channel as if it were generated from within the groovebox, keeping the sampler as an invisible backend. Are there Reaktor groovebox's that might specifically benefit from this approach? Do you foresee any problems or complications?
Finally, how about sequences, is there a way to generate these programatically? I've used Python to generate numbers that I load into Reaktor tables as a kind of alternative preset system. Are there any other approaches?
I love Reaktor's flexibility and perfect timing—but I don't like manually defining sample maps and sequences and find the "morph" function to be hit-or-miss.
