Built a new Win11 pc and installed NA On several paid libraries - Spitfire Albion V - Orange Tree Evolution Dracus and Native Access stuff like Carousel etc. instead of "Install" it says "Locate".

Clicking on "Locate" and it asks for the install location to finish installation but of course there isn't an install location because it wasn't installed. Clicking on the 3 dots and the only options you get are "Locate" and "Release Notes".

I've checked the Registry and there are no entries for these libraries. Searced here and it seems this might be an ongoing NA bug?? Any help appreciated.

If it says "Locate", then that means you cannot download that specific (third-party) product from NI's servers. I'm not acquainted with the products you've mentioned, but I know Spitfire has their own app called Spitfire Audio App.

You would need to download each library from those third-party developers, put those libraries into your desired place on your drive and then locate them inside Native Access.

Tons of third party instruments say Locate. This is the defualt that Native Access goes into for products that cannot be directly installed via Native Access.

Example - I have Albion and a bunch of Orange Tree here - my serials are registered to my NI acct - but none of these can actually be installed via Native Access - there are no files that it can download.

Albion needs to be installed via the Spitfire Installer Hub, Orange Tree stuff is manual (download instrument from OT website and copy into a folder) and so on

In all cases - once the actual library files are "placed" on your drive - they then need to be "pointed to" by NA (via Locate) to get them authorized and ready for use.

I believe some of the very latest Orange Tree stuff - might actually come down via NA now.

The older stuff - no. Just depends on the vendor and how much they are "juiced in" with NI I guess.

Should have said - lots of other libraries - Slate&Ash have installed ok. The Orange Tree Evolution Dracus mentioned above says "Locate" but the Orange Tree Roundwood Bass says "Install" - Seems no logic about this at all.

Wow I'm sorry if I've messed up here - thanks for the speedy reply - its years since I've had to reinstall my libs - as I say this is a brand new PC build. OK but it threw me when Orange Tree Dracus wouldn't and Roundwood Bass would?

I'll get Spitfires hub installed and look into the others - thanks, appreciate you pointing me in the right direction.
