I want Absynth 5

Absynth 5 was one of the greatest Sound Design plugins ever. I would like to reinstall it but can't seem to find it on NI site. Does ANYONE know how or where I can purchase Absynth 5?

It was officially retired long ago

Only way to get it now is if it is part of your existing Komplete install where it was registered to your account in the past.

Not even sure if a used license could be purchased and registered these days.

The way is to buy seconhand. Either in older Komplete Bundle. I guess it was there up to version 13 (or 12). Probably one could buy also just Absynth secondhand. But doubt someone would sell. Maybe Mac users.

Another question is, if it will install, authorize and run on your computer. If you are on Mac, Absynth was not ported to Apple Silicon. My guess is that cost of porting to AS was the reason for EOL...

On Win it should be OK.

I don't see why not, NI allow license transfers and it is still possible to instal and activate it through NA.

Yep - just reviewed this old Absynth thread:

Absynth is dead - Page 3 — Community (native-instruments.com)

And Jeremy confirms that if you could find a (Transferable) standalone license to purchase from someone - it would be good to go.

Or a full copy of Komplete 13 (or older).

@Videodude from the way your post is worded, it sounds like you've purchased and used Absynth in the past, in which case it should still be registered in your account.

Try enabling Legacy Products in Native Access.

Don't even need to do that.

My Absynth 5 is right there - ready to be installed just like any other instrument.

I don't not have Legacy turned on. Using NA v 3.10.3
