Kontakt 7 view

Hi there. It's as if Kontakt 7 never regained the default view where you see the banks you own in the "slimmer" column to the left and the actual bank you select in a slightly bigger view on your right. I think they call it "Rack View".

I wonder if it has to do with me having got the newest Mac Studio, M2 Max with OS Sonoma...?

Anyone has the same issue?

Thanks,

Chris

When menu looks like this then you are in Rack view ! :

When you select Library at the top and then select a specific single library then it will show only the presets for that library to the right ! :

    Hey PoorFellow. Thanks a lot.

I guess, what I am asking is: How do I get "Rack View to be the default view when I open Kontakt?

Whenever I open Kontakt 7 the default is the view you present in your 2nd example, and I don't like that at all Again, thanks very much

If you have a white check mark in the 'Display when launching new Rack view instances' then remove that !

    Hey :-)

Just unclicked the box you you point to.

However, it's still that same view that greeds me when I re-open:

I tried shutting down Logic and repeating, but still the same... :

Looks like you are in a DAW. If doing settings then exit DAW and open Stand-Alone Kontakt application and do setting in the stand-alone application before using in a DAW !

Ok, I opened it outside of my DAW - Logic Pro. The box was still un-checked.

So, I guess, that should be ok.

But, alas, still the same when I open again in DAW...

What I do is, I click on one of the the presets in the right column. Then, after it has opened, I click "Rack view" in the categorey "View" and then I close the preset I had chosen.

Then the Rack view stays and I can go from there.

But I just don't think that's an optimal way of working, you know...

Thanks so much for your supprt.

Just so you understand, that's a result of how your DAW works, not how Kontakt works. In Ableton, for example, it opens as yours does, but once I select my preset it goes directly to the individual view of that component, which I can adjust or just close and continue working in the DAW.
