Why is Kontakt 7 spending over 3 minutes scanning my VST 3 folder before opening?

OK, I've noted this at Centrecode / Support etc and am now blitzing because it's a major issue that is being ignored repeatedly.

It also affects NA2, Komplete Kontrol, and Maschine.

Kontakt7 is taking approx 3m 20s to open in stand alone, Bitwig or Reaper.

If I load a project file into Maschine that contains Kontakt 7 it can add that 3m 20 s onto the load time.

Process Monitor reveals that it is repeatedly scanning my VST 3 folder, often repeating the scanning of some plugins prior to loading.

Given a good majority of the plugins it is scanning can't even be used in Kontakt, why is this occurring, and how can it be in any way seen as advantageous to anyone?

There are / were no such issues with Kontakt 6.

That makes no sense, Kontakt is not a plugin host and has no access to the plugin folders

Quite... although it does host plugin libraries and instruments.

I'm hoping someone can answer this because it's a major issue that they don't seem interested in. However, it must have access to the plugin folders, or how could it be doing it?

I don't see how it could be accessing the plugin folders since you can't add the plugin folder paths in options and it's just not created to load plugins

And it doesn't load plugin libraries - it only loads its own libraries (which are not in the plugin folder)

I am not telling it to do this. I find absolutely no reason for it to do this, just as there is no reason for the NTK Daemon to do this when launching NA2, or for Maschine or Komplete Kontrol to now do this type of scanning.

I have brought this up at Centrecode as well, to little avail and I cannot imagine for a moment that Process Monitor is somehow lying about the activity it is showing.................................
