ozone 11 system requirements

Running Master Assistant on ozone 11 makes running the computer difficult due to CPU overload.

The computer specifications I'm using are as follows.

imac pro os 12. 6 Monterey

A project that mixes can cause overload problems because there are multiple plug-ins and settings

In the final mastering stage, the same problem occurs for projects that only have vocal files and track files.

I'd like to know if anyone else has any problems using it.

I don't know if I should upgrade macos in this situation

Or I'd like to know if I have to upgrade the computer itself.

Ozone along with all mastering plugins is very CPU intensive. One thing you can do is try increasing the buffer size for your interface as that'll reduce the strain on the CPU. That'll increase the latency but if you've done all the recording it won't matter. Have you frozen everything in the project? If you're at the mastering stage and your mix is complete maybe render it down to a final stereo mix and master that rather than with multiple individual tracks. Another option would be to go down to the final mix then load that into something like Wavelab to do the mastering. You can grab a free demo of that from Steinberg.

Alternatively, use it as an excuse to buy a shiny new computer 😁
