Only Instruments In Maschine Library, No Groups, Effects, One-Shots, Etc.
Hi, I'm completely new to Maschine, and so far I'm having a really difficult time because what I see online is not what I see on my software.
I've downloaded and have access to Kontakt sound library, Massive-, and basically whatever came with my hardware. When I open Maschine, all I can see are things under the Instruments panel, which seems great. What I'm trying to do is get a drum kit loaded onto the pad, which seems like I could just drag and drop the "kit" in to wherever it's supposed to go, but all it gives me is a drum loop on a single pad.
Online, I see people have Groups, FX, Loops, All Sounds, and One-Shots. Mine does not show anything except the Instruments, which so far is discouraging because I still have not been able to play a beat yet on 2 pads while having access to just Instruments.
I'm probably missing some very key things, so any help would be much appreciated!
As a side-question, any reason why only some of the sounds in the instrument panel give a sample preview when clicking on them? Most of them I have to load onto the pad first to see what it sounds like.
Here's some screenshots-

I've confirmed that both are under C:\Users\User_Name\Documents\Native Instruments\Maschine 2.
That looks like the User location for your own Samples, Sounds, Groups and Projects and would be an odd path for the Maschine 2 Factory Library.
Did you try a rescan?
Preferences -> Library-> Factory-> Rescan

Something is definitely wrong with your installation.
Please tell us first what version of Maschine you’re using on what operating system and version.

Ok, thanks.
I‘m not a Windows user so I can’t help if the issue is related to the OS.
However, can you please check the installation path of the Maschine 2 Library in Native Access and the Library path settings in the Maschine Preferences. The Maschine 2 Library should appear in the Preferences under the same path.

I've confirmed that both are under C:\Users\User_Name\Documents\Native Instruments\Maschine 2.
Of course, there's the Content Location, Application Location, VST Location, etc. The content locations match up between Maschine 2 and Native, which I assume is the important one.

Got it. I did a Factory scan, but nothing else came up. Here's a screenshot of what's showing on the Maschine preferences page:
Obviously the question is: what is supposed to be there, and how do I get it there?

I just noticed that I did not have Maschine 2 Factory Selection installed. Is that my problem?

That's what it was! I just missed that on the downloads- now that I've got it, everything is coming up the way it should! Thanks for your help!
