Neutron 4 issues - DAW error message says "missing files"
Hello, I just purchased the iZotope Music Production Suite 6 and installed all included plugins via the Product Portal app. Once I got everything installed, I opened up my DAW (Ableton Live 11) and as it was scanning the plugin folder it was popping error messages for Neutron 4 and the included standalone effects plugins.
Error message: "One of the files this plug-in needs cannot be found, please reinstall or contact technical support for assistance [0x715]"
I've attached a screenshot of the error message.
What I've done to try and troubleshoot: I uninstalled Neutron 4 via the Product Portal and reinstalled it, restarted the PC, and tried again. Same error message when Ableton scans the plugin. I've spent the last two hours scouring Google for a solution but I've come up goose eggs so far. Hoping someone has a solution!
It's probably worth noting that other plugins in the bundle have installed fine (like Ozone 11, RX 10, Nectar, etc.). I'm having the issue with VocalSynth 2 and Neoverb as well but my primary concern is Neutron 4 as it was one of the main reasons why I purchased the bundle. Any help solving this issue is greatly appreciated!

Apparently Ableton Live doesn't like when Neutron 4, Neoverb, VocalSynth 2, Relay, and Tonal Balance Control 2 VST3 files are moved from the default C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 installation directory to a custom directory. I reset the VST3 plugin path in Ableton to the default installation path and now these are working! Problem was due to some sort of disconnect when the VST3 files were copied to a custom folder.

Since making the original post above, I have also tried installing from the standalone installer that gets downloaded from Product Portal. I've tried using the standalone uninstaller and then reinstalling from both Product Portal and standalone. I've tried doing both in safe mode. Always running as administrator. I've tried doing that with AVG disabled as well.
Nothing. Is. Working. Uggghhh

Did you have any iZotope products installed prior like e.g. Neutron Elements ?
IMO it's highly advisable to also uninstall and if necessary (?) de-authorize the previous versions prior to installing the new ones ! Problem could have been e.g. updating files already existing or something else, I don't know.
From description and your profile then you are on Windows 10 like I am . I took care to uninstalling all old versions of stuff prior to installing and have experienced no issues so far. I used iZotope Product Portal for install !
Perhaps also check if you have same problem in a plugin host or if it is only in the DAW ?. On that note did you try the Deep-rescan all installed plug-ins. To start a deep rescan, hold ALT/Option and click "Rescan." ?
Ref. : Using VST plug-ins on Windows , VST/AU plug-in doesn't appear in Live's Browser , Plug-ins Tips and Troubleshooting
Otherwise , then maybe you will have to contact iZotope Others Support ?

Thank you for your response! I already had Neutron 2 installed from years back, but no other version of Neutron 4. For what it's worth, I also have Ozone 9 installed and Ozone 11 has no issues. I have been able to instantiate both in Ableton. Same with RX, I still have RX 6 Elements installed and RX 10 does not have any issues either.
Great idea to check if the plugin works in other software, I got so myopic with my troubleshooting that I didn't think to do that yesterday. I opened Komplete Kontrol (standalone) and got no errors on the plugin scan. I was able to instantiate Neutron 4 inside of Komplete Kontrol as well as Neutron 2 (side by side). VocalSynth 2 also worked fine inside of KK.
Maschine was a different story. Although there were no errors that popped up, Neither Neutron 2 or 4 showed up in available effects (Ozone 9 and 11 did though).
Thanks for the tip on deep rescan in Ableton! I was not aware of that, but it unfortunately did not help. Still popping the same error.
Thanks again for taking the time to try and help, I greatly appreciate it. This is such a perplexing issue 😩 I did start a support ticket with iZotope yesterday but was really hoping I could solve this in the meantime. Don't know how long it will take iZotope to get to my ticket and I just want to use the plugin.

Two additional things I just did:
1) Completely separated VST2 and VST3 plugins into their own dedicated folders.
2) Cleared the Ableton Live database.
Neither solved the issue, the quest continues 😤

No prob, hope it helps if someone else runs into the same issue and heads to Google for answers.
It really didn't occur to me to try this until I was totally out of ideas because other VST3 plugins were working just fine after being copied over to my custom directory (including Ozone 11 and RX 10). Quirky little thing with these others.
