What speakers and cables do I need for s8 controller

What speakers you need depends on where you're going to be playing, although they'll need to be active speakers (ie with built in amplifiers) unless you're using an external amplifier.

As far as cables go it'll depend on what connections your speakers have, so the first step is to decide on speakers. The S8 has XLR and RCA sockets from the main out and standard jacks from the booth out so it's pretty flexible.

I thought 'active' would be a given, keeping the rest as simple as possible. Above items are just tried and tested by myself. Small enough for transport as well as small studios. Everything above that will probably push the £300 ceiling.

Speakers for what purpose?

Are you planning to go on the road as a mobile DJ or is this just for home use?

My suggestion would be a pair of KRK Rokit RP7 (KRK are a top selling brand).

on the back of the speakers it says class 2 wire that connects each speaker, they don’t sell that which seems strange to me.

Im on eBay looking for it but none say class 2… can I get away with buying any speaker wire that says for hifi/ surround/car audio?

im getting really excited I purchased 10000 mp3 tracks £42 to get me started … soo many quality choonz I’ve missed and can’t wait to play around with!! I have agoraphobia and been desperate to occupy my time in this tomb lol
