Maschine + And Maschine 2 software on Win 7

Hi All. I recently updated my pc to windows 11 but built it as duel boot so I could keep running Ableton 10 and lots of old vst’s without the extra cost and agro of un needed upgrades.

I also bought a Maschine + to replace my Machine mk1. (which I have tons of NI software for)

the last time I used Native Access was about 6 months ago on my win 7 pc and all worked fine. Now I have this new Maschine + and I am trying to get it working with Maschine 2 software on the win 7 side of the pc. I am getting an unspecified error message when trying to update any of the Maschine sample packs or plugins.

i guess my questions are.

1) Does native access still work for you guys who like me are (still running win 7)

2) if so has anyone else had and solved this issue?

it’s worth pointing out that I have installed the Maschine 2 software on my win 11 boot (separate drive) and all is well and I am aware that NI allows installation on 2 x pc’s. However I am wondering if there is a cross contamination issue maybe going on.

many thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Maschine+ needs Windows 10 or higher so that's likely to be the problem on your Win7 side. You need to be running an older version of Native Access with Win7 which you can get from here - Native Access Legacy Installers for Older Operating Systems – Native Instruments (native-instruments.com)

Are you wanting to use the M+ on Win7, or did you want to get the Machine MK1 working with the Maschine software ?

Hi Thanks for the reply. Yes ideally I wanted Maschine + to work with windows 7 and I already have the Legacy version of native access.

I uninstalled the Machine factory library last night just to try doing that fresh and even that fails to download / install due to the same unspecified error. This means even Maschine mk1 is out of action for me now.
