Working with battery 4 in komplete kontrol?

how to use everything in komplete Kontrol software with product specialist Brian, and it appears that version of KK is completely different than the updates one.

does anyone have a resource showing how to use battery 4 in this new KK set up? How to load expansions? It appears you can’t be in browser mode and the battery kit at the same time, so I don’t know how to drag sounds or filter sounds to find expansions within battery 4.

am I understanding this right, you can’t find expansions you have to type them in??? Like having to remember every single name of them, or constantly looking them up to reference each one out of 100s instead of having a list to choose from? Surely this cannot be the only way?

You can't have an instrument loaded in Komplete Kontrol 3 then use the browser to locate and drag samples. It's a feature that wasn't included at release.

In Battery you can still scroll down the list of kits in the browser and see all the names. You just can't easily filter the names of the expansions.

So komplete Kontrol 3 is essentially useless for battery now? I should just load battery in my input instead?

There’s no way to sort by tag or character in battery like in KK, it’s all just lists?

If you want to drag samples into Battery then yes, it's pretty much useless. There was a LOT of discussion about that on release of KK3. If you don't have a MK3 keyboard you could switch back to using KK2.

You can filter by the characteristics you see when you click on Drums/Kits/Percussion etc, but that's all. Apart from bug fixes, OS compatibility updates etc Battery 4 hasn't changed much since it's release in 2013 and still has the old browser.

Ok thanks! I’m new to the NI ecosystem (couple months now) just started diving into battery. Using mk3 keyboard so kk2 is out for me. I was just confused because most of the tutorials on things I watched was on kk2. Hopefully here are some updated videos coming for kk3, or maybe some similar functionality for things like battery to be integrated again? The kk2 way looked cool, just seems like a bit of a bummer because kk3 feels limited in that way.

One more question,

there Is no way to preview the extension sounds and kits anymore? Just have to load them and hit all the cells? I know there are previews for sample one shots.
