Maschine+ with external dj console: without laptop?

Hi guys, I had an idea for my live gear but don't know if available:

I previously used Maschine Mk3 and S4 Mk3 as controllers, via USB hub (rear of S4) with a Windows Surface laptop. It works.

Right now I upgrade my gear and I obtain a M+. My question is: can I use M+ as the main interface, by pass the Laptop due to standalone mode, and plug inside M+ a dj console (S4 or other Midi gear, like Rane one or Hercules T7) Just to do some scratch stuff? What is the routing for the samples? How to mapping all the buttons and faders and knobs of the external controller, since I bypass the PC? Thanks in advance guys

If the Maschine mk3 + usb hub + surface laptop + S4 Mk3 did everything you needed... why change the setup??

the Maschine+ cannot replace what the surface laptop does.... becos the maschine+ does not operate any DJ software!!

A stand-alone DJ controller could possibly work alongside the Maschine+ thereby bypassing the need for the surface laptop to run DJ software.

this might bring you added portability... but you will lose the versatility of what a laptop gives

Do you also want to midi clock sync those?

Or just use them at the same time? If later .. yeah. Why not? I mean the s4 still needs a computer, but most standalone gear have a line in.

Not sure I understand the question.

Some standalone DJ systems work with Ableton Live, so you could sync Maschine+ to (for example) a Denon Prime 4+ and play without a computer.

You couldn't really DJ with just a Maschine+ and a DJ controller though.

Basically I want to know if it's possible to use the hub in the rear of M+ to connect a dj controller and bypass the laptop.

My dj stuff is not mixing or something, just scratching or looping samples. So my main question is: If I charge all the sound that usually have in my Traktor Library inside the SD of M+, can I use this external controller (with jog, knobs and so on) and do some stuff?

Since M+ is standalone my doubt is : laptop is necessary?

I see couple videos with Maschine+ with external controller connected (like external synth or a mixer, or a master keyboard)

Hope it explains better my point

    Thanks guys

    No.

The M+ has no Traktor inside it (or any DJ software) for your S4/Rane/Hercules T7. The M+ is not a regular computer where you can just install whatever software you want, the M+ runs Maschine software and nothing else (well, technically it runs Kontakt and Reaktor too).

For what you want you would need a standalone DJ controller, with it's own software and music library so you can scratch. Or I guess, if you use Vinyl you could use that to scratch along side it, then use the M+ for loops, beats, and production-related stuff...
