Hi, I have a maschine plus most of the time i use it standalone synced to traditional midi and that's great. But at certain times i've launched maschine plugin inside of Ableton. To my knowledge i was under the impresion that sync should be super tight (no issues) using it in plugin mode inside of Live but i am experience some noticeable latency.

Was playing some notes recording to Maschine and upon hitting quantize noticed something didn't add up. So tried listening to both metronome of LIve and Maschine in solo and that's where i heard the discrepancy or delay between both. If I turn on the delay compesation option on live it does improve but is not perfect. The problem is that upon doing that affects all other plugins and its a no go.

While having Live on i launched Logic Pro X to see if the issue crossed across daw and to my suprise it runs perfectly tight on Logic so its a ableton issue only.

Hoping somebody can help me sort this

using it on a m1 mini 16gb on OS Ventura

    when you reference sync...

are you referring to audio syncing? midi sync via send receive or use of ableton link?

as each method incurs a penalty...

audio being the one that incurs the biggest latency...

as you are aware... FX introduces latency...

so putting the FX on the DAWside that is receiving will help in that respect

if you are doing pre-FX processing before sending... then expect latency

Have you tried selecting Reduce Latency for Monitoring under the Options menu. That normally corrects such things for me.

Ok so for anybody going thru this

Having it activated on ableton creates the problem for me

Deactivating it in ableton fixes it

its very weird I thought it should have been the other way around
