Revisiting NI K11 advice

Hi guys.

After a few years away im looking to dip my toe into Machine MK3 again. Bought a 21 model M1 pro to install Komplete 11. = Nope.. serious install issues due to incompatibilities with Sonoma.

I'm realising that getting any recent "ISH" Mac I'm going to have to upgrade to K14. It's all getting a lil expensive right now. If I get into it again I'll be very happy to invest in the newer gear but right now id really just like to get K 11 installed on something from the hard drive to see how I go.

I've been looking at 2019 i7 MacBook pros around and pcs around i7

I can't seem to find any info on the site about K11.

Anybody have any experience or thought in wether a Mac book pro mentioned above would be well compatible with the older software and not need any funky legacy hacking or anything as I'm just not yet inclined to be digging into such things.

Many thanks for any info in advance guys.

Most of the stuff in K11 will probably work with Sonoma as it's been upgraded. It's not all stated as compatible yet, but lots of people have it working. If you're using Native Access 2 it should install ok. What problems are you having? I did see a bug on my Sonoma system (Intel) where trying to install with the Komplete hard disk connected failed, but downloading worked ok.

K14 will get you the new stuff, but the same versions of the older products unless there's been a major upgrade like Kontakt 7 or Guitar Rig 7.

    Hi.

Problem was a synth git rig realtor and kontack and 2 more things wouldn't install. Came up with a "allowance full disk access" error. Access was granted but still didn't work. Without those things I don't think most content will work? As those are the main apps I guess.

Anyway. I've sent that back and rethinking my options.

    What are you running?

Can you download the licences you own from the NI site. Instead of using the HDD. ?

Although, the failure came after the virtual disk popped up and thought about it for a while.

The failure was an install one.

    Just got me thinking

I'm pretty sure that's what the problem I had was. If you don't have the Komplete hard disk plugged in Native Access should download what it needs from the Internet.

To answer your other question, I have K14 installed on a Mac Mini 2018 (i5) and my main machine which is a Windows 11 machine with a i7-11something-or-other.
