Can I transfer my GR6 license to a friend now that I have GR7?

Purchased Guitar Rig 7, and would like to transfer my Guitar Rig 6 license to my music teacher (he's a college kid without a lot of money).

If Guitar Rig 7 has all the presets that were in Guitar Rig 6 (plus more), then I'd happily (and in adherence with the EULA) transfer my GR 6 license.

Any reason why this wouldn't work?

Log into your Native Instruments account and check here - Request For Transfer | License Transfer (native-instruments.com)

You'll see all your current licences. Look for your Guitar Rig licences. If they both say "Full Version" and have a checkbox on the right then you can transfer the Guitar Rig 6 licence without a problem. Tick the box next to GR6 then the "Review and confirm the transfer" button at the bottom to start the transfer process.

Not having used GR6 a lot myself and only recently getting GR7 I can only answer as far as the license question goes. If you can transfer license depends on if it were bundled or part of bundle and also on if your GR7 is bought as an upgrade from GR6 ? If you bought it as an upgrade from GR6 then you will have to keep the GR6 as that is the base for your upgrade.

Also with respect to functionality then you can just try GR7 and if it is bought as a full stand alone version and if GR6 is the same + not part of bundle then you ought to be able to do a transfer. Mind you the most economical way of getting apps and libraries is as part of a Komplete 14 bundle but bundle content can not be chopped up and transferred or sold in parts !

Also , please always check system requirements prior to any purchase or upgrading !
