I agree with you overall but this point is not the case, I tested my A25 with KK3 and the on keyboard screen browsing still works (even with that tiny LCD). Some people have said the browser button no longer works but I think that was based on a misunderstanding. Before KK3 there were no alternative screens for plugin and browser so there never was a hardware switch between those views in the software, the hardware browser button still does what it did before, switching between on keyboard browsing and the on screen plugin params. I think it would be desirable to be able to switch the software views in KK3 from the keyboard so I need less mouse clicks, and have fed that back to NI, however I can also see a use case for having the plugin view on my Mac screen while being in browse mode on the keyboard. The real problem here is having those 2 modal views, in KK2 it’s a non issue. I would love to see a return to having a side browser, ideally a dockable browser that could be toggled on and off.

@Matthew_NI could you please give us an update on the Apple OS bug which prevents using Kontakt with MK3 in Logic? Is this fixed in Logic Pro 11 that just came out?

I posted here and in a few other threads but missed it here.
Apple have just informed me that they fixed the issues we were affected by in Logic 11.
We are still validating this with testing on our end but the signs are promising.
"We" includes all three products affected by the Apple side issue: Kontrol, Kontakt and Kontrol S MK3

Looks like this might work properly now with Komplete Kontrol MIDI out in Logic - worth testing again
You can route and record the MIDI output of a MIDI effect plug-in or software instrument plug-in on a software instrument track to a software instrument track in your project using the Internal MIDI In track parameter.

I was right, you can now put KK on one track and an instrument in another and route the MIDI out from KK into the instrument on the second track and it records the MIDI (eg if using an ARP)
Looks like they mistakenly released this before it was ready a while back but it was clear they were working on this and now it seems to be working as it should.

hey guys i have a question - if i will install custom NKS Library for example - Addictive Drums 2 NKS - will i be able to see Addictive Drums image on my Komplete Kontrol S49 MK3 screen?

If it's an officially badged NKS instrument that's been correctly updated to at least NKS 1.7 or higher (preferably 2) then yes, the image asset will be present.

Not sure if it’s been updated to include the NKS2_hardware_banner asset, which is what shows on the keyboard screen, but it’s easy enough to add it

Indeed - it's very easy to add. Put any 1280x212 image in the right location.

I'm trying most of the pieces of it internally, but it's not yet in a user-feedback-ready state (e.g. a proper installer, basic feature-set complete).
When it hits beta, I will also be more openly inviting some of you to join beta if you're willing. Now that we're more focussed on fewer things, unsurprisingly, more progress results.

I remember a person a couple of weeks ago asking to become a Beta tester so I thought that I would go back and find out who it was so that I could tip Matthew_NI to get the person to Beta test. So I went back to look and guess who I found 😁 Anyway , looks like you do not need my help for that one. Hopes that Matthew_NI picks you to test since you so obviously really would like to participate 😀

@Matthew_NI I have a request that may be very easy to implement for the MK3. When using Play Assist the selected notes for the roots are hard to see and I'd like to be able to practice some of the more esoteric chord inversions etc. Would it be possible to have selected notes coloured white instead of the colour presently chosen? As you can see below it's nearly impossible to tell when the root is activated.

Even if it might not be of interest, I would really love to become a beta tester for the new versions. Not necessarily only for Komplete Kontrol. I also have many ideas for implementing and expanding the new MK3. For example, we could add a low coding or Python programming feature, something simple, to make it a true master keyboard with unique and interesting functionalities.
