Hello NI crew,

I've only been able to record audio once from my Traktor Kontrol S2, I keep getting a message saying unable to record and I don't know what part of my set-up has changed to not be able to record. Anyone else had this issue, and how did you resolve it so you could record?

Peace!

Are you using streaming tracks from Beatport or similar?

Can you share a screenshot of your "output routing" settings? Recording should be "not connected", that way it will take master.

    Hi Lord Carlos,

No, not using streamed music, using MP3's. Thanks for any advice.

You need to set Output master.

    Output record can be blank.

Then check the "Mix recorder" and just for new select a new directly. Some mac OS people had trouble with the directly after an update. If that works you can change back to your old directory.

    Lord Carlos,

    Thank you. All sorted.

One last question - how do I export wav recording's to mp3 and do I find them in downloads?

    Thank you :)

The wav files are saved whereever you said they should be saved in Preference → Mix Recorder. I think it's under ~/Music/Traktor, but not sure.

From there you can use any 3rd party app that can create mp3 files. I don't own a mac, so I can't help with that. Maybe iTunes/Music app can do it.

    Lord Carlos,

    I'm back!

I did some recording, and since then these lines have appeared at the start. See image below, how do I get rid of them?

It looks like nothing is loaded into the deck.

It's there when I load tracks too. I can still cue tracks, but it's annoying and not sure why it's there. Do you know?

I don't have traktor in front of me right now, but Is it not just they part before the track starts?

I have this lines in my Traktor too. Can't remember that it was different anytime and consider this as normal. No idea why these lines were missing in your Traktor Pro before changing this settings.

No, the lines weren't there before. You'd put a track in and it wouls appear at the start of the deck, not after these lines.

    Maniacintoch - change what settings?

I just checked, the lines are normal. They are even there on Traktor 2 Pro.
