My MK3's performance has plummeted on my Mac M1 - is this because of Sonoma?

I've been trying to think what changed, and I think it might be when I (accidentally) upgraded to Sonoma a few months ago...

Maschine performance was always stellar before at low latency, now I'm walking on eggshells to prevent glitch city... and Maschine's CPU monitor is now very jumpy.

Is this a known thing?

thanks...

unsure where things are at with Sonoma and maschine and how well the OS and maschine play together... others who are on Sonoma might be able to share their current experiences with how well maschine is running, or if they are having similar issues

if all the avenues of troubleshooting has been exhausted becos of Sonoma's OS changes that are affecting maschine... and things are becoming frustratingly unbearable

then you are at the mercy of NI and waiting for a maschine update which addresses Sonoma

if of course you dont want to wait around.... look for information using google and youtube on how to re-install the previous OS... which would no doubt require you to make some backups of important files etc etc

i've gone down this path of reinstalling a previous OS with my m1 mac mini, which for me was a learning curve in of itself..

you could also wait for people to drip feed you with troubleshooting tips etc here on these forums...

you could even send a request to support and play the wait in the queue for a response...

    so those are your options

sir you are a gentleman and a scholar. I found it, installed it, and the problem has vanished. Plus I get the old logo and font back which I much prefer...

I have no idea how things are with macOS "Sodoma" but my past experiences tell me its still too new for reliable, professional use.. I'd use an older OS if at all possible. Big Sur/Monterey both seem like they are in a good spot right now..

Mine's stayed fine since I downgraded to the previous Maschine version. Still some slight oddities in how it reads aggregate devices, mainly just that not all are available, but the ones it can see are working
