Is it possible to sample in Maschine when used as a plug-in in logic x or any other DAW?

As for now it only works in standalone mode

Sure... It's usually through sidechaining an Audio track into the Maschine plug, in Logic it's on the topbar of the plug window; then you just sample/record normally.

There is a video inside the screenshot.

Maybe it can help you a little about the question.

Not sure about other DAWs. In cubase, you route audio into maschine as a plugin via the sidechain inputs.
