How do I use Komplete audio 1 to record a voiceover

That is all I need Komplete audio 1 for.

I just want to connect my Sennheiser MD 46 and record either on Adobe Audition (an app I have been using for several years) or a NI app which will let me record a .wav file. But I have no idea as to which of NI's dozens of apps to use.

On occasion Audition had played along nicely, most often has rejected the mic on Ka1 "not working" with MME or WASAPI. I've installed ASIO4All - everything works except Ka1. I'm not sure what to do.😔

Can some of you help?

Many many thanks in advance. Best regards

    Hello,

maybe you have more than one interface, so open up the asio4all control panel, and click on the wrench, then you can activate or deactivate in and outputs on the left side. You then have of course to set the correct input in adobe audition. Maybe make a picture of the asio4all control panel.

There is no native app like adobe audition, I would stick with it, it has some good plugins, if I remember correctly. But if you want something new, you could use audacity (it's free), wavelab from steinberg, reaper.

Many thanks for your reply, Uwe. This morning I found out what was the problem... the USB port was faulty. Changing to a different port solved the problem.

So both Audition's MME and the ASIO driver now work with Ka1.

I'm happy with Audition. But perhpas you can suggest which NI app I should use if I wanted to stay within the NI environment?

    Many thanks again.
