Maschine Plus sounds are static/distorted

I'm new to Maschine Plus. I am listening to the demo sounds and the sounds sound fine but when I select a kit and hit a pad, the sounds sound distorted/static. I know it can't be like this. I can listen to anything else through my speakers and it sounds fine. I have Windows 10, 16 GB of ram. I am using Komplete 13 ultimate as well. Please help if you can. I'm sure someone else has experienced this. BTW, this community is great!!

Have you checked the FX chain on the kits? With which kits particularly is it distorted?

Go to settings/audio and turn knob 1, source, and that will solve it.

Is this really about Maschine plus standalone mode? In settings / audio page 1 knob 1 is labeled device and has only one option : Internal. Yet I'm experiencing a similar problem on some pads in standalone mode (aka crackling sound when I hit the pad) and cannot find a way to solve it

I found that if the line out level is too high, a kind of metallic/distortion sound starts blending with the sample sound. When I set the line out level to about 50% (instead of 75-100%) and turn up my monitors, the issue disappears.

Maybe this might be useful to someone.
