Trying to sell my Maschine Plus

2 years back I bought a used Maschine plus form a second hand market place (marktplaats (NL)). Now I am trying to resell it and it turns out to be a NFR product. The seller back in the days did not tell me anything about NFR, nor did I know what it was untill this week, when I was trying to sell it.....

There was NO indication when I used it that it was a demo unit. Can't believe that this can happen.😔

I think i've read that if somebody sells one to you that you, you wouldn't be able to get a transfer code with it and that should have set alarm bells ringing back then. Presumably you can still sell it "as is" given you have been using it for 2 years without needing re-register it?

I had contact with NI support. After some emails back and forth, they made an exception for me and changed my Maschine from NFR to a Commercial device. Which means it showes up as transferable in my account. I am very happy with the solution and speed shown by NI support!

How the heck did he even transfer the license to you when it was an NFR to begin with?

Were you using his NI account or what?

I have to admit that I don't recall how it went 2 years ago. I thought I got a transfer code... Maybe not... and just got the Maschine which he never registered since he probably already owned multiple pieces of NI software... I honestly don't remember..

Nah fam, the M+ won't let you move from the setup screen without login into an account, so I don't think you can use it without registering or login into an account with a license, something is strange here. Just curious tho
