Kontak instrument crashes when changing windows

Windows 11, Kontakt 7.

If I have a Kontakt instrument loaded in an opened Cubase 13 project and switch focus to another program, when I switch back to Cubase, the Kontakt window flashes rapidly and is unresponsive to any clicks on the interface. Cubase becomes unresponsive as well. I must open the task manager and End Task. When I reopen the Cubase project everything is fine until I switch focus to another window. The problem is not consistent. Sometimes I can switch focus without Kontakt crashing.

I had 2 versions of Kontakt installed on my machine, v6.8.0 and v7.7.3. I uninstalled "Kontakt" which by deduction was the only Kontakt application that could be Kontakt 6. Ver 6.8.0 was removed.

Now both the DAW and standalone Kontakt 7 versions are 7.7.3.

Hopefully, this will eliminate the problem I was encountering.

    Thank you for your input.

You were spot on, my standalone Kontakt does not match my DAW Kontakt version. DAW is version 7, and standalone is 6.8.0.

I was unable to update the standalone via the NI manager. I cannot find any links to download Kontakt 7 standalone separately. Any recommendations?
