What is middle C for Kontakt instruments?

Hello,
C3 is not defined in the midi standard, or better said note value 60, mostly C3 can be C4 or even C5 in some daws, so you can only try. You can use an analyzer like MAnalyzer from melda with a piano loaded, It shows the frequency and the note, the real musical note. You can read also here under "designation by octave"

Pro Tools can use C3, C4 or note number 60. It is changeable in the Preferences under MIDI > Note Display.
In Kontakt, you can change the default root key for new zones. It is set at C3 by default.

Based on that, Kontakt likely uses C3 as middle C.
