Can you post the link to the last update from the chief product owner? Thank you...

Sure, the last was on June 11 (2024/Q2):The one before that was March 19 (2024/Q1):

The only mention of M+ is that we will be able to buy new 'expansion'. Nice…

We get tempo changes, finally. Sucks that there's not a time sig per scene feature, but having to fiddle with the grid/pattern length is a bit less annoying than if we were restricted to making patterns in terms of whole bars.

In reply to PK, Simon said MAS v3 is the prio but hopes new firmware for the M+ comes this year:

Just hopes - not too assuring, i would say

Thanks for pointing it out. Sorry to say it’s a recap of almost everything we already know… and some extra money-makers instead of fixes. I think this is really bad management, but the future will tell.

Update was told to be ready for test in July… that shouldn’t take 6 months (or more) to finish.
If NI is that short on resources, then think about how future-proof this ‘big’ company is.6 -

Well, it’s clear now: The groove box flagship product M+ doesn’t have any priority at all.
There won’t be an update before the release of Maschine 3.0, and that will be available for the M+ at least 6 months after the desktop version - if at all.

2 things;
1: why not prio your standalone device and then update the desktop software? Like akai is doing? Way more goodwill. So weird.
2: is it true that i need to pay for the software update of maschine + standalone?
if so, that means my 3 month old maschine is out of updates?!?! It has the new logo on it. I expect to have updates for the coming years to enjoy the product and buy expansions. But this is a bit bitter if true. Please dont come up with they did with 1.0 to 2.0… back then there was only desktop software. No standalone.0 -
What’s also clear for me: NI as a company doesn’t have enough resources to maintain their hardware products. So wait until a new one device is entirely bug free, or skip it…
And yes, ‘compatible with Maschine 3.0’ seems to be another ’word playing game’.

As far as I understand it’s the software (desktop DAW) of Maschine that’s a paid upgrade. Besides that the expansions or ‘sample libraries’ specifically for M+ are also paid libraries (…milking the cow).
And, maybe the ported 3.0 Maschine software for M+ will also cost you, but I hope they will also release the promised BUG FIX and version 2 compatibility update free of charge. If not, then I think they would violate consumer rights… at least here in Europe.

Agree, for me such phrasing sounds like 'controller mode compatibility only'.
