fm8 and massive crashes in Cubase 13

Windows 11 went through a system update the other day. I opened up Cubase this am and loaded fm8. I hit the edit icon to bring up presets and fm8 froze. No preset could be loaded.

Tried massive as well and Cubase crashed immediately. Warning screen told me to connect with VST vendor.

This has happened previously as well to these VST's. But I eventually got them working through updates (can't remember how).

Suggestions as to how to correct this?

i get this error code: c:windows/system32/kernelbase.dll

Both work ok here on C13 with Windows 11. Is it just those two that don't work or do other synths crash out too?

I've got Image Line sytrus that will load but freezes when I mouse over the edit instrument icon.

Same thing happens in FM8.

Groove Agent 3 and Electric Guitarist 2 also load as VST's but freeze when i hit the edit instrument icon.

Massive just crashes immediately. Task manager won't even close the Cubase app. I have to actually shut down the computer.
