Kontakt Not Loading Instruments via Komplete Kontrol

I have Kontakt 7.7.3 installed and I am getting an error message stating the I need the latest version to load a sound? I also have version 6.8 installed in the system. Do I need to delete version 6.8? is the system getting confused?

Please advise.

    Hmm...

    To be honest, you should.

    Of course, you don't have to uninstall Factory Library 1, only K6.

    I uninstalled it when I stared using K7 more and more, no problems.

    If the issue is solved, let me know.

    And let me know if anything changes.

    I deleted all the Kontakt 6 files (long paths) and yes THAT WORKED! Thank you so much for resolving this for me. Folks like you should work for N.I :)

    I wish N.I would just have an "un-installer" for all their apps, it would make life much easier or at least make the new apps override the old apps. Just makes no sense for the end user to have to go through all this just to make the stuff work! There is also a video online that walks you through on what files to delete.

    You shouldn’t actually have to delete Kontakt 6 as long as you have the box ticked in Komplete Kontrol preferences to use latest version of NI plugins

    It worked which is great but I know some people still like to use K6 for some things so there is that option
