This is a good question. All these new surveys, and “ideas for maschine” threads, looks as if they ARE getting ready to upgrade the current maschine 2 software at some point next year…

The real question then becomes, are these upgrades for the current software? Or are they taking notes now so they can make a whole new version 3 software down the road with new maschine hardware?

I just don’t see this new NI company making new maschine hardware right now. Maybe in 2026 new maschine hardware will come w/ new software.

Could be wrong, as we have seen, they did just rush out new keyboards, and traktor thingy.

If new maschine hardware does come soon, I would be very skeptical.

    It's hard to say.

Since MK3 design is really good, a new design probably won't do a lot better with the software in its current state.

Plus there is a good chance that it's still selling well.

It seems that NI wants to overhaul the software since now it appears to be the weak point of the product. While Akai has notoriously updated and perfected their OS/Daw.

But it's only assumption, and they could as well release a NKS2 Maschine. That would totally suck but it's possible.

If you are already asking whether an M+ Mk2 is coming out soon, I guess you’re not happy with the currently offered capabilities. If that is the case, do not rely on possible future improvements through updates or any sort of promises. Take it or leave it for what it is today.

As the Maschine Plus is a standalone instrument, the only relevant question is: Does it fulfill your personal needs for what you want to do NOW. Anything else is just wild pointless guesswork.

    So true.

It's better if you can try it before deciding to buy or not.

Price drop makes it a really good deal imho.
