Ozone Products Crashing Cubase

Hello, My Ozone products - Stutter Edit, Ozone 9 Elements and Ozone 11 Equalizer crash Cubase 13 Artist. Ozone 11 EQ is from and managed by the NI Portal, the others via Izotope. All products are up to date and behave the same way. I have installed/reinstalled several times. During testing, I saved a project with 11 Equalizer and it cannot be removed - attempting to open it again crashes the host. I have removed the products for now.

I am using Windows 10, Cubase 13 Artist, I7 with 32gb.

Any ideas? Thank you.

Without meaning to sound unhelpful, it works ok here on C13 Pro, although I'm on Windows 11.

Is it just the one project that crashes when you try to reopen it or is it repeatable with every new project if you wave it with Ozone EQ loaded ?

Not sure then to be honest. I've seen a few posts on the Steinberg forums saying people have fixed crashes with iZotope products by updating graphics drivers or disabling animated desktop backgrounds. Might be worth checking, but I'm always a little cynical about that sort of fix :)

Hello @mykejb , It has been with every project I have tried (and it is all of the Ozone products). Thank you for replying so quickly.

I forgot to add that Elements and Equalizer also crashed a previous version of Cubase. I haven't used Stutter in a long time and I don't remember what version of Cubase it worked on.

Hello again @mykejb. I read the same comments about the backgrounds and graphics drivers and since I didn't have those animated backgrounds, I disregarded it. Well, since you mentioned it again, I decided to try the graphics driver. This solved it!

So for anyone interested, I did the following. With the Ozone products uninstalled, I updated my NVidia driver using their GeForce Experience app. I only updated the driver and unchecked the 2 other optional installs. I reinstalled the Ozone products and at least in my few quick tests, they are functioning normally.

Thank you Mykejb, you made me take another look. :)

@BMM Glad to hear it's working, maybe I should stop being so cynical :)
