Opening Kontakt 5 Projects in Kontakt 7

I just updated to the most recent Komplete version. This gives me Kontakt 7 which I need so I can run Kontakt in ProTools on Apple Silicon without opening in Rosetta mode.


Is here a way to migrate my protools projects made with Kontakt 5 to Kontakt 7? Or am I stuck running all those session in Rosetta mode with Kontakt 5?

    Unfortunately for AAX plugins there is no plugin migration capability (the AAX format itself doesn't support it), so you will need to migrate "manually"

    Hmm...try this:

    Screenshot all the Kontakt 5 tabs with the names of instruments inside, then load k7 and then from screenshots load the exact same instrument.

    I had the same situation when I moved from k6 to k7.

    HA! That was my backup plan. I was hoping there was a better way :( doh!

    Ouch...

    Well, just make sure that the old sounds from k5 are checked in k7 as well.

    If this doesn't help, use the backup plan.

    Now excuse me, I gotta heal myself by watching some animated people playing children's card games! :)
