Komplete Kontrol and switch to Kontakt?

Hi.

I love the feature of browsing for sounds in KK but when I find what I'm looking for it would be nice if there was a button or some other way to open that sound in the original plugin.

Oh, nice drum patch "blip" and Battery opens instead of KK with the same patch loaded.

Possible?

Hmm.

If you mean that you want to open KK sounds with Kontakt, just open them from the Files section, not the Library (you need Rack View to do this).

Nah not exactly what I want. I like browsing in KK but when I find the sound I want I don't want to have KK open at all. Just the "core plugin". for instance Komplete or FM8.

I could just open FM8 on a new track and search for the sound and then delete the track with KK... But It's a lot of clicking to do.

What version of KK are you running?

If you're on KK3 you can't do what you want yet. The only thing you can do is load an entire kit from the browser into Battery. Samples/One Shots always load into the integrated sample player.

If you're on KK2 you can open Battery as an instrument then drag samples from the browser onto the pads in Battery.

If you're running KK3 but don't have a MK3 keyboard you can download KK2 from here - Komplete Kontrol 2.9.6 - Last VST2 supported version — Community (native-instruments.com)

Nope, definitely can't do that even with the older version. The best you'll manage is to load the sound into KK then hide any of the control strips that might be visible at the top. That way you only see the UI of the instrument. Not ideal for what you're wanting but currently the best you'll get!
