Is this possible to control XY in instruments such as Mysteria or Straylight with a Komplete Kontrol keyboard, or do I need an external XY controller?

Do you use a DAW?
If you do, just use automation.
In both those plugins the XY params are automatically mapped to the first 2 knobs on the NI Keyboard

I was interested in this too and only yesterday discovered you can use an old iPad and TouchOSC to achieve this. It's a cheap app which lets you build any controller you want to control your DAW. Not sure if there's an Android option. It can be a little fiddly to setup and crashes now and then, but I'm liking it so far. I can't post links unfortunately, but the video "Buttons, Faders, & Radio Buttons (Ultimate Guide to TouchOSC)" by Tim Corpus on YouTube explains how to set up an XY controller.

I use a ROLI Lightpad Block M for XY's generally, you can control several from the same block.
