Am I loosing some of Kontact 7s functionality or will it still be there after opening the old K6 ? If I am loosing some of the functions would I be able to get a refund, even though it is probably my fault for not viewing system requirements? Who can I speak to ?

Can you be more specific with your information of the device? (OS, RAM memory, basic memory, processor, audio engine, DAW)

    Hi whatsoever

It's a Dell computer fitted with an i7 processor, 16gb ram, focusrite 4i4 sound card and I use Cakewalk. Used this for years and have no problems whatsoever with the whole system. Only probable problem according to the q & a for a black screen is the graphics. I use the on board card. Thanks for answering.

    Hmm...

Maybe you should use Task manager, but not to set the priority to realtime.

Set it somewhere between normal and realtime.

That shoukd speed up the performance.

Does anybody else have a suggestion?

Is a new graphics card the only answer?

Can I actually speak to someone from Native Instruments?

    Many thanks....Alan

This is a user forum, an official answer/tech support from NI is not guaranteed, for that, you need to open a support ticket to talk to them directly.

I'd say the most likely reason would be outdated graphics drivers, chipset drivers, or similar.

"i7" doesn't say anything useful, it could be an i7 from 2009 or more modern. Specify the exact CPU and name your exact Dell computer and maybe other users can help you.

Thanks for your reply. It's probably all a bit old now. Going to fit a newer graphics card today. I'll post if that fixes the issue.
