Analog dreams and such don't work anymore

So I've got Kontakt 6 and some time ago I updated Analog dreams, Ethereal Earth and Hybrid keys to the latest versions. Then I found out those versions (2.1.1) are for kontakt 7.

I found a topic where is explained that I need to reinstall the previous version (2.0.3) and NI moderator provided a link to some zip files with the mentioned versions (here the link to the topic https://community.native-instruments.com/discussion/17039/previous-versions-of-recently-updated-kontakt-libraries-compatibility-with-k6-older-libraries#latest . I installed them in the same path where they always have been (an external hard disk) and they figure in Native Access as always.

Now I open kontakt player and these 3 instruments are disappeared in the libraries section. They don't appear in the libraries option tab either. I updated the search path for libraries and samples. I can find the instruments in the file section but when I load them they don't work, kontakt says is a demo version, and yet they don't make any sound.

At some point kontakt says that the product was not registered. So I go in my profile, find the registration number, put it in native access, had the confirmation of the registered product, restarted cubase... nothing happened.

Don't know what to do other than this...

I have similar issues with these products. They launch in demo mode in K7 player. I managed to fix it from NI support rep recommendation.

Close all NI products.

go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments

rename the Kontakt 7 folder to something els.e

relaunch Kontakt 7.

check that the instruments load and work.

relaunch Komplete Kontrol

check that the instruments load and work.

i also had to re-scan all the content and repoint it to content folder as i have all my content on a separate disk drive volume.

Any update on this investigation?? I've spent a full day now trying to work around this, meanwhile plenty of new threads and posts have cropped up here describing this exact same issue. K6 is not showing libraries even when the old versions are installed, which are compatible with K6. When they are loaded from NKI file, they are in demo mode. When saved K6 sessions are opened, the libraries fail to load due to content missing error. We really need the product team to take a look at this, and it's a shame this has to happen during the BF sale when there's also plenty of noise from people asking how to download Native Access and stuff like that. PLEASE help, I have no way of recalling my sessions now.

I have literally posted it's being investigated half an hour ago. It's past midnight in Central Europe, this can be looked into tomorrow.

I am pretty sure I know what the cause is, but the person who can fix it is currently sleeping and can only take a look at it... tomorrow.

I have the samme issue - Analog Dreams does not appear in the Library list

This should be fixed now. Please open Native Access so that it picks up the latest library metadata (NativeAccess.xml) and then run Kontakt 6 after that, you should see all Play Series titles that you have!

yes. i can also confirm, as of this morning, launching NA and then launching K6, everything works.

Now what remains is, I still have a few newer Kontakt products that need Kontakt 7. I completley removed Kontkat 7 player because it took over everything and interfered with Maschine.

If I install the Kontakt 7 player, will the problems return again? Will NI support release a new patched Kontakt 7 player? Will NI support offer the older version of Kontakt 7 player for download? I can confirm things worked with Kontakt 7.6.x player?

In Maschine go to Preferences->Plugins and disable option to use latest version of NI plugins. Then K6 and K7 should nicely cooperate within Maschine.

That works. Though i am certain that checkbox was unchecked all along.

Either way, what seems to have happened is, when i relaunched NA 2 this afternoon, it installed something in the background, and now everything is working as per before.

All these do not appear at all and I spent over 24 hours already to resintall everything to paths I created and follow since k8 (same with all my PCs, and other software) - Analog Dreams, Butch, Cloud Supply, Etheral Earth, Hybrid, keys, Lo-fi glow, Modular Icons, SG Electric Sunburst and Pick aocustic. This is silly, because I had them all working with K13U… Jsut unreal, especially the message that they are not supported by the current Kontakt 6..that came with K13U and the mentioned above. And there are many other issues, not just Konktakt libraries..I ahve never spent so much time trying to figure out what the problem is, even with my first K8 and I am extremely organized with everything hardware & software, including pro audio hardware, building PCs and so on. I a mreally mad now, because this is not OK, not being able using what I have paid for… Make them work, as they were with K13U product! Easy as that. Ah, now i remember that 6 months after I bought K13U i did some updating and later i was discovering different sample from here or there were mising with the exoansions..and 2 projects were like uselless.. Looks like now is the same… I am mad at myself too, because 2 hours ago I ordered K15U Update from thomann, but…i would ask back for my money if i am not able to run what is supposed currently to run as usual with K13U..or i rather build another PC just for NI, make full ssd clones , buy spares of MB and CPU and after installing everyhting I keep this new build offline forever, so if I am alive even after 50 years - i would be able to run any heavy project without any problem… So sad, because i gave up completely with Reason, after 22 years and now I am on my way to do the same with NI :( so depressed and confused now…. You, guys, do not understand 1 simple thing - software needs time, a lot of time for the user to learn it well and to use it to its best…years, but everything all the time changes, this is ridiculous. Make new, but DO NOT change OLD..especially if this old is just 2-3 years old….Since K13U (was 2021st, ithink) I havent had the time to paly with it more than 30-40hrs and this means that I am alsmot not familiar with anytihing new after K8..ok, well, im only 10% familiar with K13U… And now, when I have time, instead of continue with my K13U started in 2021 projects, because they are broken, over 24 hours i am trying to figure out what the heck is going on, until 1 hour ago when I realized, it is jsut you and only you.

..I spent few hours just to make the old Viena, Upright, Berlin adn New Yourk pianos work, together with battery 3…mainly..all of them used in over 25-30 older unfinshed projects with Komplete 8., And in every project all parameters are tuned to the last parameter.. It is not "jsut replace it" at all.. And i keep discovering more problems with the current state of K13U that renders all my time spent with it useless…Instead of making music and polishing parameters to what I have already started I already lsot 24 hours and maybe 1 or 2 more to fix what should be actually fine..And when I do it, even with K15U, i may not have the time or the feel to just make music. Wirse - when I have the tinme for it, after months or 1 year - i will be doing the same, trying to figure out why this or that dosent work anymore..just brilliant… such an evolution!
