Many Kontakt libraries suddenly removed from Kontakt 6, sessions broken!

I haven't updated Kontakt (currently 6.7.1) and many of my libraries for quite some time. I don't have any Kontakt 7 libraries yet and don't want that pesky Kontakt 7 upgrade button. Just a few minutes ago, a bunch of NI libraries went completely missing from my Kontakt 6 list, and all my sessions that were using them now give me a missing files error. The libraries are Cloud Supply, Ethereal Earth, Hybrid Keys, Low-Fi Glow, Modular Icons, and Noire - all libraries that have an update available that brings the minimum supported Kontakt version up to 7.6, which I have NOT installed. I need these libraries available in K6. I have tons of existing projects for scores that use these libraries and I need them to open in K6 with all their settings recalled. How can libraries be removed from K6 without me even updating anything? It's been fine for years... if I can't find a way to recall those sessions, it will spell disaster for me. Any help would be appreciated

This should be fixed now. Please open Native Access so that it picks up the latest library metadata (NativeAccess.xml) and then run Kontakt 6 after that, you should see all Play Series titles that you have!

Thanks for the link, I am downloading the installers of those libraries just in case. But I don't think that's the same issue as mine as I did NOT install the available updates that bring the minimum version of Kontakt up to 7.6 for those libraries. Therefore, my installed versions of the libraries are compatible with my installed version of Kontakt 6.7.1. In fact, I haven't installed any of the available updates during the past few months. I'm baffled that libraries could disappear like this without any changes. I also can't open those libraries by loading sessions that recall them in any plugin instances, so my ongoing projects are broken.

On the Kontakt 7 FAQ it says that the DAW (I use reaper) should automatically be able to convert Kontakt 6 settings to Kontakt 7 if the K6 plugin is not available (for VST3 format, which is what I am using). Should I try installing K7 and updating the libraries, then removing K6 in order to recover my projects? Just want to get a confirmation on this because, if it doesn't work, I'll be even bigger trouble.

NI is such a mess that it becomes surrealist.

How can they do that to their users ? How can they still be considered as professionnal tools ?

Exactly the same problem happened to me with the Kontakt 6. Yesterday everything was fine, and today just suddenly many NI libraries disappeared. Hybrid Keys, Analog Dreams, Ethereal Earth, and others are no longer available. I even tried to roll them back but Kontact 6 doesn’t see them. I went through the files to run NKI Hybrid Keys, it's able to open but it shows as a demo and there is no sound.

I've been using Hybrid Keys and Ethereal Earth on several fairly large projects and this issue has just brick them. It is VERY frustrating... It is a disaster...

I also would like to know what happened!

I'm not happy to update Kontakt 6 to 7 since I'm totally satisfied with Kontakt 6. But if I do this, will it solve the problem? Will Kontak 6 be replaced by 7 in the project?

P.S. I didn't update anything, they just suddenly disappeared from Kontakt 6 list.

Yes the change was a back end one, not related to Kontakt. It will be reverted today.

It looks as though I missed the last round of this problem only to experience it now. Several of my favorite libraries I purchased a few years ago suddenly show up as "demo"; and in my account the serial numbers, everything, has vanished as if I never owned them in the first place. I managed to make it through the transition to komplete kontrol and kontakt 7 [after spending some more money to do so] but now without warning I cannot use some of my favorite instruments. It's very frustrating. I guess the moral of the story is, keep all your serial numbers in a separate location so that you at least have something to complain with—-I guess I just trusted NI too much. Other items that say I've already downloaded just don't appear. It's a mess.

Hey, yes, me too - all working fine about a week ago and now Modular Icons, Analog Dreams and Twenty Five are now unavailable in Kontakt Player 6 - as i use these a lot in my Cubase projects it's a real problem

Yeah my Noire went away in K6 all of a sudden. My sessions are a mixture of K6 and K7 (since they're pretty sizeable templates and I haven't gone through and rebuilt them entirely in K7) so this breaks some existing work.

    @Voidstate242 , @Dogtown Music

Log out of NA and try Jeremy_NI's : Kontakt libraries go missing in Kontakt and Native Access.

Else try the trouble shooter here : My Products Are Showing As DEMO in Native Access , especially '2. Your activation fails because of corrupted or missing
activation tokens' and '3. You have corrupted XML files' (delete both NA XML and all offending product XML)

If the above doesn't help then try Jeremy_NI's latest 'invention' : the replacing of the XML file.

    Quote Jeremy_NI :

It looks like the Native Access.xml file downloaded by NA is damaged/incomplete.

In this example it is missing the Kontakt 7 entries, please try the following:

Delete the Native Access.xml in the following location and restart your computer and open NA

    Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center

Mac: Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Native Instruments > Service Center

Repeat until the missing products reappear/the products in demo recognise their activation again.

If this doesn't work, please download this zip file, unzip it and and replace your xml file with this one.

    NativeAccess.xml.zip

Else , Quote Mert_NI : you can also try to downgrade your Native Access to 3.8.1 which can also help :

Here are the direct download links for that : NA 3.8.1 : WIN , MAC INTEL , Mac AMR (M1/M2/M3)

Otherwise if problem persists then please contact N.I. Native Access and Installation Support

At the page N.I. Native Access and Installation Support be sure to scroll down to page bottom to see if there is a log-in request , if there is then log-in , at next page again scroll down and small blue chat box ought occur within 15 seconds. Then write in chat box and when getting suggestions then select did not help when it didn't , that ought to bring you on to either chat with human or open a ticket. (You need to use a browser with Cookie , Security and Extensions settings that will allow for log-in on the page for the page to work)

There has been introduced chat support for Native Access assistance (at least daytime on normal work days) : Please refer to the page : How to get in touch with our Customer Care

@PoorFellow you're a lifesaver thanks! Tried removing the XML and running Native Access, and it created a new one, but still had same issue. So I tried the XML file thats zipped in your post, and that is slightly smaller, but worked, so must be different to what is being created by NA automatically. NOTE: if you replace the file, but need to run NA again then it will be overwritten with the version that doesnt work, so keep it safe

    thanks again
