When running software the record button is greyed out I can see the track playing in record window but cannot record as button not working

Try to go to the Settings or Audio, and try to find the driver or audio engine settings there.

Before a few days ago Milos did not even know what Traktor is. He just just throwing anything against to wall to see what sticks. "Changing audio engine" is nonsens, at least from my understanding.

@Dj BiA are you using streaming services, such as Beatport Live? In that case you can't record with traktor.

If that is not the case please share screenshots of the "mix recorder" setting.

Also what hardware are you using? You need different setting for "external mixing mode"

not using streaming all tracks are located on hardrive

at moment I have no using any hardware I’m waiting for S2 mk 3 to arrive tomoro

so just using in MacBook pro m1 at moment

Yes Demo but the native instrument website says it is fully functioning and only diff is limited to 30 minutes

The website does NOT say the demo version has all functionality of the full version. It just says, the demo closes after 30 min but can always be re-openend for another 30 min. The fact that there is no official feature comparison between demo and full version does not mean there are no differences. I believe NI wants to hide this limitation.

Traktor LE version does not offer mix recording.

My guess is, the demo version prohibits mix recording, too. Otherwise you should be able to record because your settings are correct.
